Trisha Klus is a lettering and paper artist specializing in calligraphy, hand-bound books, marbling and collage. The use of texture is common in her work, whether it be with layered Japanese papers, shiny gold threads, shells from the west coast or antique postage stamps from around the world. She feels this added dimension gives so much life to the piece. Formerly an officer and one of the first women aircrew in the Canadian Military, Trisha is now happily settled in Cobble Hill, B.C. with her husband and twin daughters.

Judy Mayhew has a longstanding love of craft, though it has been a circuitous route to chandlery. Judy's primary interests have been in the fibre arts and include rug hooking, quilting and especially weaving.

Melanie took her first basket course in 1993 after she moved to Salt Spring Island. Over the years, she has taken many basket courses from local teachers and internationally-renowned teachers. She works with willow, cedar, tule, bark, and a wide variety of other plant materials. To be able to forage in the garden or on the roadsides and make something practical, creative or sculptural with what she has found is enormously pleasing to her.

Laura Waters has a background as a floral designer and retail gift shop owner. She now designs and creates a line of handmade journals, totes for notes, bridge tallies, handmade cards, perpetual calendars and so much more. Using a variety of collage techniques (frequently using materials collected from the local seashore), silk screening and texture, Laura creates unique pieces. These theme-specific designs include her full range of stationary products and a complete body care line.
