Fine Art Fused Glass for the Home and Garden
Bonnie studied to be a graphic artist and over the years has worked in several different mediums. A number of years ago she took courses in stained glass and fused glass. Fusing became her passion. She works from her studio, Rocking Waters, which is located at her home. The studio looks into a beautiful garden with ponds and waterfalls and she says much of her inspiration comes from her garden.
Bonnie has a wonderful sense of colour and design resulting in whimsical pieces that are truly a delight. Her little house and flowered wind chimes bring enjoyment to people around the world. She also designs larger pieces that take advantage of her graphic design roots and are very geometric in nature. Bonnie also collaborates with a well known metal artist to create innovative glass and metal pieces. She has also been commissioned to create unique pieces for a number of clients. Her intent is to create fused glass art that makes you feel good.
She has been teaching fused glass for a number of years and enjoys introducing new glass artists to this wonderful medium.
Bonnie’s work has been featured in several shows and events including the Sooke Fine Art Show, Sidney Art Show, CNIB’s Eye Appeal Art Event, and Artisans in the Park in Chemainus.
